A few things on the to-do list today:
1. Just ran/walked 30 minutes on the treadmill which hasn't been used in at least 3 months. (I ran a whole mile on level 4, which is a 15 minute mile - now considering I'm not a runner and never have been even in the best shape of my life, I'm pretty okay that I did that and lived to talk about it)
2. Will be pulling up 8 half-alive boxwood bushes that didn't quite survive the drought last summer.
3. Will be planting some beautiful knockout roses in their place (needed some color on that side of the house anyway)
4. Will spend more of the day giving my weeds a very unhealthy dose of Round-up.
5. If there is any energy left by this point at all, I will con ask the kids to help me wash the car (I learned a couple of weeks ago that supervision is definitely necessary)
6. Just got off the phone with Dish Network and will be downgrading our channels, more than 80% of which we don't watch and hopefully this will mean that the 3 of us don't spend the whole summer in front of the black box.
7. Have been investigating exercise video's and think I've decided to go with Jillian.
The last time I lost 15lbs and got in really good shape was because of Jane. Hey - say anything you want about Jane, but the woman gives a darn good workout! I knew that thing by heart and when I got home from work I'd put it on and didn't do anything till I had sweat dripping down my face and it felt SO good. That I do remember. Did you know that exercise is a natural anti-depressant? Not that I've been depressed, just that I've not been incredibly happy about me lately either.
Anyway, 'nuf about that - it's just that Jillian is the new Jane. Make it burn baby!
I'd give almost anything to have Jillian Micheals come train me for a week. She kicks booty. I've been looking at that video too. If you get it before I do, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
